Earthlink between diversity and inclusion
Since 2005, Earthlink started to set up the first network to provide Internet locally, and now it is the largest Internet service provider in Iraq. But how was a local company able to face the conditions experienced by our dear country and prove practical success on the ground for sixteen years?
Earthlink management sought to obtain different and diverse points of view by discussing plans, implementing strategies, and supporting continuous improvement. As the results of the public voting within the company showed; (87%) of the voting participants find that their department managers provide enough space for their employees to present an idea related to the implementation of the work, or to develop plans within those departments, which in turn increases the opportunities for creativity and innovation within the department and the company in general.
Earthlink sought to break through the glass ceiling barrier for the purpose of finding ways to advance women and enable them to occupy leadership positions, as (8%) of Earthlink employees held leadership positions and senior technical positions.

Mohammed Al-Awwad, Head of the Institutional Affairs Department, stated, “Earthlink was able to remove the obstacles (glass ceilings) that stand in the way of women within Earthlink reaching higher ranks in the career ladder, whether they hold leadership positions, or advanced technical positions, by providing means of development Scientific and administrative to support the concepts of inclusiveness and diversity in human resources alike.»
